By far, my favorite Bible person after Jesus is David. I oftentimes think of him and ask myself, “What made him so special?” He was a stinky sheepherder with a ruddy complexion and sparkling eyes. As the youngest in his family, he was ridiculed by his brothers, yet he was special. Why, you might ask?
"But the Lord said unto Samuel, look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7, King James Version)
